Escape the Mist: Fictional Song Inspired by, Once Again, the Crimson Sky

We were driving out of this never-changing town.
Late November, outside the windows, blizzard howls.
We’re just a reckless couple,
on and off, and stuck in troubles.
We’re right inside a dead cyclone,
but I’m drowning in your cuddles.

By a broke down car in the middle of the night,
You put your coat on me gently from behind.
Your hands are on my waist, slowly holding me tight.
Whispers crawl on my ears. I feel a soft wet bite.

I relished, slowly.
But baby, have we
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
Can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
Can we?

I’ve been spellbound by nothing but your gorgeous eyes.
I let you come back probably for another lie.
We made our romance out of a mess,
third one’s fragrance, second chances.
I’m addicted to the dope
made from a hope that you’ll be home.

I drove a hundred miles back home in a crimson night.
You called you said you missed me, so I planned a suprise.
Found him in your arms dreaming in the bed of mine.
Crimson marks on his neck was teasing at my sky.

I stormed out, crying.
Once again, have we
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
Can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
Can we?

Another man that you have slept.
Another red stamp on his neck.
Another text from you, unread.
Another promise of nonsense.
But then you looked me in the eye.
begged for another chance to try.
And I said hell no why would I
Never ever again will I.

Have we
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
Can we
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
Have we
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
escaped the mist, have we?
Can we
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?
feel the sun heat, can we?

So ummm… the crimson sky and the heavy fog enabled me to come up with a story that could express how I actually felt. I absorbed some elements from <Out of the woods> as well, which is one of my favorite songs of all time. The heavy crimson mist not only exists in reality, but also overwhelmed my mind. I feel like I’m suppressed by something, but I cannot identify what it actually is. I wanna “escape the mist” and “feel the sun heat”. Well, the verses are entirely fictional. The feelings from <Style> and <Getaway Car> inspired my story. I hope I can actually escape the mist someday.
